Description

Notice of Intent to Sole Source Requirement The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Boston Healthcare System, intends to negotiate a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1 to Toshiba for the preventative maintenance and software upgrades for the Aquillian 64 CT system and the Titan MRI system in VISN 1. This contract will commence on October 3 through October 2, 2017. The applicable NAICS code is 811219. The FSC/PSC is J065. The contract will not include options to extend the term of the contract for up to four additional option years at the discretion of the VA. Toshiba is a large business that currently has a National Acquisition Center (NAC) contract with the federal government. This one year firm fixed price contract would be based off the NAC mandatory source contract. A firm fixed price contract without option years is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. This is not a Request for Proposal. If other business in New England can provide an equal service for the New England Healthcare System, vendors must submit their technical capabilities, to include, technical specifications of their product, past performance information, price and delivery time. This information will be reviewed by the Government's technical representatives for consideration for future requirements. Email statements are preferred. Statements are due no later than September 23, 2016. Phone inquiries will not be accepted. This is not a solicitation; it is a Notice of Intent to Sole Source requirement.
