Description
The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to questions asked as follows: Question: Are the Existing Coolers heat losses available?. We understand that the new coolers will require +10%; Answer: The difference in temperature between the supply and return for the upper bearing coolers is 2.2 degrees Celsius. The difference in temperature between the supply and return for the lower bearing coolers is 1.5 degrees Celsius. At an ambient temperature of 21 degrees Celsius. Question: Please provide the actual water flow (both upper and Lower) and maximum available flow; Answer: Pressure in the cooling system is regulated at 40 psi. The flow rate from the drawing detail is 270 GPM at the upper coolers and 5 GPM at the lower coolers the coolers are 1 inch I.D. Question: Please provide the Mean oil temperature Answer: The temperatures provided in the spreadsheet are the oil temperatures. Check the Guide page for specific measurement locations. Question: According to drwg 392C569, tubes are made of copper and, i.d. and thickness is 1 in. x 0.065 in. Are the tubes and fins the same for cooler drawing 392C551? Do you have any requirements in regards of tube material, diameter and fins characteristics? Answer: Yes, the lower coolers current design is 1 inch I.D copper. The updated design must maintain the same mounting points and overall assembly diameter measured at the center of the effective cooling surface cross section.
