Description

Intent to Sole Source: Biotronik, Inc. Special Notice Number: N0025916N0226 THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Naval Medical Center San Diego anticipates making a sole source award under statutory authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) and FAR 13.106-1(b) (1) (i), only one responsible source, with: Biotronik, Inc. 6024 Jean Rd Lake Oswego, OR 97035-5308 The objective of the sole source award is to procure MRI Single Chamber ICDs. Biotronik is the only company found with the DX lead, which is required for the maximum points of contact in multiple areas of the heart. The DX lead will improve patient care and increase the scope of supervision because it allows for a larger number of sensors in the heart. The NAICS code for the requirement is 334510. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Information received by 4:00 PM Pacific Time on September 23, 2016 may be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Elizabeth Sanders at elizabeth.n.sanders.civ@mail.mil. The email subject line shall state, "Special Notice Number N0025916N0226" "A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
