- •1. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for quote and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time. •2. Military Sealift Command (MSC) has a requirement for a Service Order to overhaul Firemain Charging Pump and Motor. ] •3. Item Description/Manufacturer's Data: •A) Centrifugal Pump: SIMS Pump Co., Simsite Structural Composite Pump, Series 10000, Size 4x3x10 (75 HP), Service - Fire Charging Pump •B) Electric Motor: 75HP, 3600RPM, 3Ph 60/460-480, IEEE 841, 50 Degree Ambient, Class F Insulation, Efficiency - XRI Hi Eff, Start Method - Line or Inverter, NEMA Design - B, Sinewave S.F - 1.15, FLA-95 Amps, Locked Rotor Current - 600 Amps. •4. All Small Businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Certified HUBZone and Certified 8(a) Small Businesses are encouraged to respond. The Government will determine whether, a set-aside acquisition in lieu of full and open competition is in the Government's best interest. •5. The Appropriate NAICS Code is 333911. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE OR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential small business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of an award. 6. It is requested that interested small businesses submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities package demonstrating ability to complete the requested work. This document shall address, as a minimum the following: (a) Company Profile to include number of employees, office location(s), DUNS number, CAGE code and a statement regarding small business designation and status; (b) Partnership agreements with any large businesses. Proprietary information, if any, should be minimized and MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED. To aid the Government, please segregate proprietary information. Please be advised that all submissions will not be returned. •7. Please provide your response to this sources sought notice by 10:00 a.m. PST on 23 September 2016. Please submit your response to the Email address below: Submissions may be made by e-mail to chito.paulo@navy.mil Fax submissions of the capabilities WILL NOT be accepted. Submission of a capabilities statement is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the Government as to the extent of shipyards available for this procurement. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The Government does not intend to host an information exchange meeting to discuss this RFI with interested potential respondents.
