- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT for Solicitation HSSS01-16-R-0064 for a sole source procurement. The Government intends to negotiate a firm fixed priced commercial contract with Smiths Detection, Inc., 30 Hook Mountain Road, Pine Brook, NJ 07058 for the acquisition of maintenance and repair services, replacement parts, and regeneration of existing equipment along with calibration and calibration equipment of the Smith Detection x-ray machines which are proprietary equipment. The period of performance for this requirement is from the date of award for one year, with four (4) one-year options. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 811219. ****PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements may submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the services as detailed above. Responses may be only sent via email to Danielle Donaldson at danielle.donaldson@usss.dhs.gov. If no written responses are received at least five (5) days after the initial publication of this posting, the contract will be awarded without further notice. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement, on a full and open competitive basis upon receipt of responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
