- Magna Power WRx Series Loads #4200602858 The purpose of this document is to meet the requirements for the Magna Power Electronic Loads WRx30-1000-60+LXI and WRx30-200-300+LXI for support the build-up of the Solar Electric Propulsion Power Integration Testbed (SEP POINT). SEP POINT looks to replicate end-to-end power string capability to suit the needs of future SEP missions with immediate focus on the Asteroid Redirect Mission needs. The WRx30-200-300+LXI will support the development of the SEP Solar Array Electronic Simulator (SAES) and the WRx30-1000-60+LXI works downstream of a Power Processing Unit and operates as a High Fidelity Hall Effect Thruster simulator. Specifications for SEP POINT Laboratory Load Simulators - Magna Power The purpose of this document is to specify the requirements for the selection of electronic load simulators from Magna Power that will be used for various testing purposes throughout each phase of the Solar Electric Propulsion (SEP) Power Integration Testbed (POINT) development. The SEP POINT team is currently seeking to procure (2) new electronic loads to be used for the following purposes: 1)High-fidelity, resistive element based, load simulator used at the output of a PPU to simulate a Hall Effect Thruster 2)Resistive element based load simulator for testing and development of the SEP SAES. 1Applicable HET Load Simulator Specification •Operational Power Range = 0 - 15 kW •Operational Current Range = 0 - 50 ADC •Max Operational Load Voltage = 800 VDC (+/- 5 VDC) •Operating Modes = Constant Current, Constant Resistance, Constant Voltage, Constant Power •Protection Modes = Over Power, Over Current, Over Voltage, Over Temperature •Programmable Interface •Active Resistance mode •Water-cooled 2Applicable SEP SAES Specifications •Operational Power Range = 0 - 30 kW •Operational Current Range = 0 - 6.5 A •Max Output Voltage = 180 V Additional SEP SAES Load Needs •Operating Modes = Constant Current, Constant Resistance, Constant Voltage, Constant Power •Programmable Interface •Active Resistance mode •Water-cooled NASA intends to purchase from Magna Power Electronics, 39 Royal Rd, Flemington NJ, 08822-6001, to insure compatibility and accuracy. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit capabilities and qualifications, in writing, to the identified point of contact no later than 09/22/2016, 5:00 p.m. local time. Such capabiities/qualifications will be evaluated soley for the purpose to decide whether to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. The determination by the government not to compete this competition on a full and open basis is soley within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable.
