- Revised Statement of Work 1. As inquired during the Site Visit, are there any "As-Built" drawings for Building 99? a. If yes, will the Government supply the Contractors with the plans to determine wall thicknesses for the new wall penetration? ANSWER: YES....a photo of the wall thickness from the Plans will be provided in the SOW. The walls are 14" thick concrete. REVISED SOW SEE: 2.11 and Attachment 7 2. Will the Contractor require escorts while working the Project? ANSWER: NO....the contractor must sign in and out of the WTP daily before work begins. But during work Operations, no escort is required. REVISED SOW SEE: 2.16 3. Does the Government require that the Temporary Storage Tank be doubled walled for safety concerns? ANSWER: NO....Double Walled is NOT required, but if single walled, the contractor must provide containments to match the size of the tank. The contractor should select 1 of 2 tank options: Option #1: Provide a double walled tank, with NO Containments required Option #2: Provide a single walled tank, with Containments required REVISED SOW SEE: 2.6 4. Barricades: Should the Contractor include barricading for the Temporary Storage Tank in their Proposal or will the Government supply barricades? ANSWER: NO.....Barricades are not required to be provided by the contractor. WTP personnel are versed in working around utility tanks and equipment. 5. Will the Government require a Check Valve be installed on the bottom of the Temporary Storage Tank? ANSWER: The contractor can select 1 of 2 options to pump the existing tank. Pictures and description of the 2 options are in the revised SOW. Option # 1: Provide and install a check valve on the existing tank valve at the bottom of the tank to connect contractors drain hose/tubing Option # 2: Use manway at the top of the tank to run hose and drain tank from the top REVISED SOW SEE: 2.15 and Attachment 2 6. Please confirm that the Contractor is to return ALL chemicals from the Temporary Storage Tank to the Permanent Storage Tank once ALL inspections have been conducted? ANSWER: YES REVISED SOW SEE: 2.9
