Description
Specifications for SEP POINT Laboratory Load Simulators -APS The purpose of this document is to specify the requirements for the selection of electronic load simulators that will be used for various testing purposes throughtout each phase of the Solar Electric Propulsion (SEP) Power Integration Testbed (POINT) development. The SEP POINT team is currently seeking to procure a new electronc load to be used for the purpose of simulating a Visiting Vehicle that connects to the central distribution unit of POINT. Applicable Visiting Vehicle Inteface Load Simulator Specificaiton. Operational Power Range =0-10 kW. Operational Current Rande=0-100ADC. Max Lad Voltage = 170 VDC (+/- 5 VDC). Operating Modes = Constant Current, Constant Resistance, Constant Voltage, Constant Power. Protection Modes = Over Power, ver Current, Over Voltage, Over Temperature. Programmable interface NASA/GRC intends to purchase the Visiting Vehicle Interface Load Simulator from, Adaptive Power Systems electronic load, Model number 5VP15-15: Heritage and familiarity with the control scheme. The exact same model for Visiting Vehicle 1 Lod Simulator in SEP POINT is currently being used. Our goal is to acquire the same model for Visiting Vehicle 2 to save engineering hours and compatibility issues, Adaptive Power Systems, 17711 Mitchell North, Irvine, CA, USA 92614. The government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualificaitons to perform the effort, in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 5:00 p.m. local time on 09/23/2016. Such capabilities/qualification will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
