- Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Nicaragua will launch, via the Internet, a solicitation to procure Healthcare Insurance coverage for the Embassy’s Locally Employed Staff (LES), their eligible family members, and certain other locally-hired employees who work on a contract basis for the Ambassador and Deputy Chief of Mission. The estimated total number of personnel covered by this healthcare insurance is approximately 1,000 employees and family members. Please note this is only an estimated quantity. The contractor shall furnish managerial, administrative, and direct labor personnel to accomplish all work as required in the contract. These requirements may change depending on funding availability in forthcoming periods. Anticipated performance is for one base period and four one-year periods at the option of the U.S. Government. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered. The Government plans to issue the solicitation in October 2016. The solicitation will be issued on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website and the Embassy webpage when it is available. No hardcopies will be mailed. Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) is required pursuant to FAR provision 5.207. Prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations/proposals. Electronic Submission/Responses: This opportunity allows for electronic responses. Please submit your offer prior to the response date and time. If you would like to submit your offer via mail, please send a hardcopy to the contracting office listed in this notice prior to the response date and time.
