- Attachment 0003 - Specifications for 100 LB Rail to 115 LB Rail Solicitation Number: W52P1J-Compromise-Joint-Bars, Amendment 02 Notice Type: Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Closing Date and Time: 11:00 AM Central Time, 23 September 2016. This amendment is to incorporate the following question(s). 1.Question: Are both the 100 and 115 lb. rail RE? Answer: Yes. 2.Question: Are relay (reconditioned) compromise bars acceptable? Answer: No. 3.Question: Is the Government requiring a price for furnishing and installing this material? Answer: No. 4.Question: What forged material is being used, diameter of the holes, and the possibility of receiving a drawing with more details? Answer: The material is "high strength heated steel". The diameter is 1'inch. See Attachment 0003 for more drawing details. 5.Question: In order to quote this for you I'll need the section for the 100#. Is it RA, RB, or AS? Answer: RE. Solicitation Number: W52P1J-Compromise-Joint-Bars Notice Type: Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Closing Date and Time: 11:00 AM Central Time, 23 September 2016. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Purchasing Agency: Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI) This Request for Quote (RFQ) is issued using Simplified Acquisition Procedures IAW FAR 13.5. This RFQ is issued for full and open competition. ACC-RI is seeking quotes for the acquisition of Compromise Joint Bars, as specified in Attachment 0001 (Statement of Work for Compromise Bars) and Attachment 0002 (Specifications for 100 LB Rail to 115 LB Rail). Contractors are instructed to provide a firm fixed price inclusive of labor, materials, equipment, and delivery costs required to provide the specified material to the Military Ocean Terminal, Sunny Point Locations listed below. The NAICS code for this requirement is 488210 (Support Activities for Rail Transportation). Award will be made to the responsible offeror with the lowest price technically acceptable. It is the Government's intent to award one single firm fixed price purchase order. The Government reserves the right to award no contract at all, depending on the quality of the proposals, prices submitted, and the availability of funds. This solicitation requires registration with the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award, pursuant to applicable regulations and guidelines. Registration information can be found at www.sam.gov. Failure to comply with SAM registration may deem an offeror ineligible for the award. FOB is destination. Contractors are to ensure that the shipping method allows the ability to track items to the final destination.
