- The purpose of this amendment is as follows: 1. The following QUESTIONS and ANSWERS for the Lexington location are hereby incorporated: QUESTION 1 - Is it the intention of the Government to use loop start CO trunks or a PRI For dial tone? ANSWER 1 -Yes, at this time the Government will not have a fully functional VOIP solution on our MCCEN network QUESTION 2- Does the Government anticipate any new wire work to be required? ANSWER 2 - Testing and toning is required. The wiring is old and a few lines may require troubleshooting and or re ran. QUESTION 3 - Will the 30 phones be a like for like replacement of existing users? ANSWER 3 - Yes, there will be a few phones that will not be on line as they will be extra replacements. QUESTION 4 - Does more than one organization have telephone equipment in the equipment room? Is some of the equipment old and obsolete? ANSWER 4 - Yes, there are other organizations that may have equipment in the room. Yes, some of the equipment is old and obsolete. The Government is requesting that old equipment be removed and replaced with new equipment. QUESTION 5 - Will the new equipment be wall mounted? If so will the government supply a backboard to accommodate the new hardware? ANSWER 5- New Equipment will be wall mounted rack provided by the Bid winner, all equipment and hardware will be provided by the Contractor QUESTION 6- Are all phones located within the same building as the telecom equipment room? If not how many buildings will phones be located in and how many phones in each building? ANSWER 6 - Lexington has out crop buildings. Please reference Performance Work Statement. QUESTION 7 - Does the telecom equipment have proper grounding? ANSWER 7- It looks like it but per the Performance Work Statement Contractors will verify power and grounding requirements prior to installation. 2. All others terms and conditions remain unchanged; there are no attachments associated with this amendment.
