Description
The primary objective of this contract is to provide a high level of organizational maintenance support for the High Frequency Global Communication System - Puerto Rico Station (HFGCS-PRS), which provides: primary command and control for mobility air forces voice and data; Presidential and executive DOD support; dissemination of Emergency War Order message traffic; Spanish speaking network between US, Southern, and Central American Air Forces; Global Humanitarian/NATO Mission support; and High Frequency Secure Email to the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) fleet. The contractor shall provide operations support as required by the contract's Performance Work Statement (PWS). Work will be performed at the HFGCS-PRS sites at Salinas and Isabela, Puerto Rico. This contract consists of a one month transition period beginning 1 Sep 16, a base period of one year, and 7 one-year option periods. An option for a six-month extension of services IAW FAR 52.217-8 was priced during negotiations. If all options including the extension are exercised, the period of performance will expire on 31 Mar 2025. A Notice of Award was issued 30 Aug 16 and the contract signed and released 6 Sep 16, effective 1 Sep 16.
