Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) intends to issue a sole source contract, citing: 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(5), as authorized by 38 U.S.C. 8127(c)), to 1ST AMERICAN MEDICAL DISTRIBUTORS, INC., 151 Heritage Park Drive, Suite 201, Murfreesboro, TN, 37129-0505. This contract is for the replacement of the main steam sterilizers in the SPD Service of the Malcom Randall VAMC, NF/SGVHS Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida. The requirement also calls for the acquisition and installation of a fourth steam sterilizer to be located in the space currently occupied by ETO gas sterilizers, which are to be removed. The CO believes that the intent to issue a sole source award to 1ST AMERICAN MEDICAL DISTRIBUTORS, INC., a VIP Verified SDVOSB, under Veterans First Contracting Program, as authorized by 38 U.S.C. 8127 and 8128 (Pub. L. 109-461, as amended), implemented under subpart 819.70, would be in the best interest of the Government. The NAICS Code that applies to this procurement is 339112; the small business size standard is 1000 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, solicitations, or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than 2:00pm on September, 23, 2016.
