- Description
- The work includes the following general scope items and all related incidental work: 1. Remove wall mounted white boards, signage and other removable items. Patch, prep and paint new and existing walls, door frames and trim throughout spaces. re-install items removed to facilitate painting. 2. Remove existing carpet, base and adhesives. Prep slab for new carpet. Replace with new Government furnished, Contractor installed carpet. 3. Remove existing flooring transition strips with new where flooring types differ. 4. Construct new offices with gypsum board and metal stud partitions, solid core wood doors with plastic laminate (P-LAM) finish and hollow metal frames with specified hardware and signage. 5. Disassemble existing cubicle workstations and stockpile components on site to utilize in new layout. Steam clean all re-used componants and build out new layout. Provide new matching components as needed to complete layout. Transport all unused componants to NPC warehouse on base. 6. Provide power and data to all workstations and offices as shown in contract drawings. Remove unused circuits back to nearest junction box and remove unused data cabling to patch panel. 7. Rework lay-in ceiling grid, lighting, HVAC supply to provide and even distribution of services to all areas as shown on contract drawings. 8. Install R-19 unfaced batt insulation to four feet either side of all new and existing single office walls for sound attenuation. 9. Re-work existing fire sprinkler heads to provide adequate fire spriinkler coverage per code. Fire sprinkler drawings are to be prepared by contractors Fire Protection Engineer licensed in the state of Tennessee. 10 Install new dry erase vinyl wallcovering with trim to two conference room walls with marker tray, paper retention strip and aluminum trim as shown in the contract drawings. 11. Carpet information: a. The carpet, J and J Invision, 1744-Generate Excitement, 18 by 36 tiles, has alrady been purchased by the Government for this job. Contractor will be responsible for picking up material needed for this job from the warehouse space in building 785 and returning unused, uncut carpet stock to same location. b. Contractor will need to purchase carpet tabs, adhesives and carpet accessory items needed to complete the replacement of carpet and base.
