- Request for Information (RFI) PORTABLE BRIEF CASE SINGLE CHANNEL UHF SATELLITE DUE: OCTOBER 21, 2016 A communications project at Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) Atlantic, is seeking information on a commercially available portable brief case single channel UHF satellite simulator to test their UHF tactical satellite subsystems before they go operational on the UFO satellite constellation and to test the systems in the field when UFO satellite channels are not available.. The satellite simulator must meet the following requirements: 1. Satellite Interoperabilty: FLTSATCOM, LEASAT, UFO 2. Radio Interoperabilty: AN/PRC-117G 3. Waveform and Crypto Interoperabilty: DAMA, Secure Narrowband Voice, Vinson Voice, Vinson Data 4. Weight: 30 lbs 5. Size: 17 L x 15 W x 8.5 D 6. Power Input: Must be able to run on AC and DC battery 7. Input Voltage: 100-240 VAC; 47-66 Hz; 30 Watts maximum 8. Battery Life: 2 hours 9. Storage Temp: -10C to 45C 10. Operating Temp: -0C to 4C 11. Operator Control: Touchscreen 12. Remote Control Capabilty: USB 13. Signal Control Range: 45 dbm with a range of >70 dB in 1 dB increments 14. Noise Source: internal white noise generator with a range of >60 dB in.5 dB increments 15. Doppler Generator: 0 to 5 kHz; programmable; rate of change to 100 Hz/sec 16. Time Delay: 0 300 ms; programmable 17. The system shall be COTS with no system development required 18. Lead time must be less than or equal to 90 days Submittals Respondents are required to submit complete product information that demonstrates the specifications identified above. All information received will be treated as public knowledge and may be used in "Insert Task" Program documentation; therefore, vendors should not submit proprietary information in response to this RFI. Specific information sought includes: 1. Company information, including name, address, and URL. 2. Whether the company is a manufacturer or distributor. 3. A point of contact for follow-up information, and the point of contacts phone number and e-mail address. 4. Product name and a brief description (1 page or less), specification sheets and user manuals. 5. Cost information such as purchase price and General Services Administration (GSA) schedule information. The submitted information will be evaluated for inclusion in SSC-LANT projects. If a SSC-LANT project requiring this type of equipment is executed, the equipment selection will be based upon a number of factors, including responder surveys, technical performance specifications, cost and schedule and focus group inputs. Consequently, follow-up requests for feedback should not be made through Federal Business Opportunities posting agency.
