Description

Notice of Intent to Sole Source The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 21, intends to issue a single source purchase order to Association of Operating Room Nurses Inc. (AORN) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) "Only one source is available" to provide online education courses for new operating room nurses as well as nurses returning to the operating room after an extended leave from practice. The course includes 27 learning modules, as well as administrator and preceptor education. Periop 101 improves standards of practice, leading too improved patient outcomes in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The modules are completed over the course of 6 months. This is a special notice only and is NOT a request for competitive quote or a formal solicitation. The attached document identifies the required activities to operate and also identifies the requirements for any responses by interested parties. Responses may be submitted until 8:00 AM Pacific Standard Time (PST) on September 26, 2016 to Nicole Do, nicole.do@va.gov. No calls, please
