Description

This Notice of Intent to Sole Source is provided to advise that the Government intends to solicit and negotiate a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed Purchase Order with only one source, Advanced Sterilization Products also known as Ethicon. This procurement is to provide preventative maintenance and software upgrades for the Sterrad NX sterilization system. The Sterrad NX sterilization system is used to sterilize equipment used during operations at the Manchester VA Medical center. Only Advanced Sterilization Products can provide the required preventative maintenance and software updates in accordance to the manufactures standards. The NAICS code for this requirement is 811219. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. Any responses received will only be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in lieu of the sole source contract described in this notice, and such determination shall be made at the sole discretion of the Government. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. If no responses are received, the government will proceed with the Sole Source acquisition. The Government will not pay for information submitted and any quotation/response should be emailed to Erin McIntyre at Erin.McIntyre2@va.gov by Thursday September 29, 2016.
