Description
SEEKING AMERICAN-MADE SCORING MACHINE FOR FIE FENCING TOURNAMENTS Solicitation Number: FA7000-16-T-0184 Request for Information for BRAND NAME OR EQUAL- FAVERO FENCING SCORING MACHINE This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) only. This request is for planning purposes and does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/solicitation. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment on the part of the government to award a contract or to pay for the information. The government may or may not decide to award a contract as a result of this RFI. The government does not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with submission of the information being requested or reimburse expenses incurred for responses to this RFI. No funds have been authorized, appropriated or received in this office for the purchase of this product or information. The information provided will be used for market research only. A company is encouraged to respond to this notice if it possesses the capability to provide an AMERICAN-MADE fencing scoring machine that meets the following characteristics: 1. System shall have high visibility LED lights which provide clear and accurate displays to referee and competitors; 2. System shall have accurate reproduction of national and international tournament timings calibrated for millisecond accuracy; 3. System shall have multi-weapon capability to allow for versatile use of all three types of weapons- saber, foil and épée; 4. System shall conform to NCAA and Olympic tournament standards and timing; - USA Fencing and NCAA must follow new timing standards of 170 ms +/- 10 as set by the International Fencing Federation (FIE) - Timing machines shall be in compliance with FIE timing regulations 5.
