Description

The Department of Veteran Affairs, Network Contracting Office/NCO7 intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to Georgia Regent University Research Institute, Inc., 2500 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30904 for animal services that must be within five miles or less of the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center. The animal lab services provide purchasing with room and board for research animals based on the Research Department's Principal Investigators need. This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-12, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541940 - Veterinary Services, size code - $7.5M and Performance Size Code is 5416. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes nor will a solicitation be issued. Interested vendors may submit a capability statement which shall be reviewed by the agency for future requirements.
