- Description
- The US Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration intend to award a sole source contract to Fluor Federal Solutions, LLC. The statutory authority permitting this acquisition of this requirement by other than full and open competition is 41 USC 254(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Job Corps is a national training program that provides comprehensive academic, residential and career technical training services to approximately 60,000 disadvantaged youth each year at 125 Job Corps centers nationwide. The requirement is for the operation of the Mississippi Job Corps Center located in Crystal Springs, MS. The anticipated period of performance is a six (6) month base period with two (2) six (6) month option period. The requirement includes the provision of academic, career technical, career success skills, and career development training, and related support services, for an estimated 358 students (238 residential, 120 non-residential). The contractor shall operate residential quarters (housing) and service to all students as applicable. This is a sole source notice published for informational purposes only and not a request for competitive proposals. Therefore, no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, all responsible parties interested in responding to this notice are invited to submit a capability statement including costs by 5:00 pm ET, October 11, 2016, that provides sufficient details for consideration by the government, via email to Vogt.Eric@dol.gov. The determination not to compete the contract based on the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
