W912HV-16-Z-0014 Sources Sought Market Survey Replace & Resize G31 to J209 Steam Pipeline, Yokosuka, Japan Introduction: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Japan Engineer District (JED) is performing a market survey for a Design-Build (D-B) Construction Project titled: "Replace & Resize G31 to J209 Steam Pipeline, Yokosuka, Japan." This announcement constitutes a market survey that is being conducted for planning purposes only and the information received will assist the Government in developing an acquisition method for this project. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government for any follow-on announcements, solicitation, or award. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10, Market Research, the purpose of this notice is to identify sources capable of satisfying the Government's requirement. This survey seeks qualified and capable contractors to submit responses to this notice in order to adequately plan the acquisition. If your company would like to be considered as a potential source for this work, please submit a response adhering to the below submission requirements. The Government will not pay for any information provided as a result of this market survey. This market survey is intended for local sources only. Local sources are those sources physically located and licensed to conduct business in Japan. Firm interested and capable of performing this work are highly encouraged to submit a response. Project Information:: Project Title: Replace & Resize G31 to J209 Steam Pipeline, Yokosuka, Japan Project Location: COMFLEACT, Yokosuka, Japan North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code: 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors Project Price Magnitude: Between 1,000,000,000 and 2,500,000,000 Japanese YEN (utilizing a 100 YEN to 1 U.S. dollar rate) Project Description: Project scope work associated with both an aboveground and underground steam pipeline. Work includes replacement of existing 250mm diameter steam pipe that transports co-generation steam from the G-31 steam header to the J-209(boiler plant) header with a 300mm diameter steam pipe and 100mm condensate pipe routed from the cogeneration plant to J-209 along with the necessary insulation and protection from weather and supports. Procurement method: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Japan District (POJ) anticipates the release of a Request for Proposal (RFP) for this project. Any solicitations pursued will be intended for local sources only.
