Description

This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Request for Quote (RFQ) for "as needed" histology services to provide specimen processing in the absence of the full-time histology technician. The Pathology & Laboratory Medicine service line department located at the Department of Veteran Affairs, Carl Vinson VA Medical Center, Dublin, GA. only has one staff histology technician and this request is for coverage when that individual is on annual leave or sick leave. Services may also be needed on days with higher than normal surgery caseloads or unusually high volume situations for the histology. The Statement of Work (SOW) is located in the solicitation document. This requirement is a 100% Small Business set aside. The NAICS code for this requirement is 621511 and the Small Business Size Standard of $32.5 million. Eligible and interested vendors should download a copy of the RFQ Solicitation document, VA247-16-Q-1251, which contains the SOW and all corresponding attachments, from the FBO website (www.fbo.gov). The solicitation has instructions on how to submit quotes in accordance with FAR 52.212-1. Please check the posting daily for updates. The government will not be contacting interested contractors regarding amendments. Please note the due date established by the solicitation. All questions pertaining to this solicitation must be submitted via email, no later than 09/30/2016 by 12:00 PM EST to darrell.harper2@va.gov. Questions on the telephone will not be accepted.
