Description

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Washington intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a Design Bid Build construction, firm fixed-price, contract for the P021, Middle School/High School Replacement, Marine Corps Base Quantico, VA THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The RFP will be issued under N40080-15-R-0971 and is expected to be posted to Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) www.neco.navy.mil and Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) at www.fbo.gov in mid to late October 2016.This RFP will be solicited utilizing a one-step competitive procurement, negotiation procedures under FAR Part 15. Evaluation will be conducted utilizing Best Value, Lowest Price Technically Acceptable. The Government intends to award one (1) firm fixed-price contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220. In accordance with DFAR 236.204(i), the construction magnitude of this project is between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000. Project Description: The project consists of demolition of the existing Middle/High School (approx. 81,000 SF) and construction of a new two story Middle/High School (approx. 115,000 SF) utilizing standard foundations, structural steel framing with brick, cast stone and glass. Spaces include Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) 21st Century School concepts such as learning neighborhoods, central hubs surrounded by learning studios, and flex labs as well as an information center, gymnasium, food service area, lab spaces, specialist rooms, library, a performance theatre, and other support and program areas required for a fully functioning facility.
