REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) / MARKET SURVEY US ARMY RDECOM-TARDEC RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT, INTEGRATION, AND TEST SUPPORT FOR GENERAL DYNAMICS LAND SYSTEMS (GDLS) FAMILY of VEHICLES (FOV) Description of Intent: THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) / MARKET SURVEY INQUIRY. NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation, nor is it a request seeking offerors to be placed on a solicitation mailing list. Response to this survey is voluntary and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this RFI / Market Survey or any follow-up information requests. No solicitation document exists at this time, and calls requesting a solicitation will not be answered. General Information: The Government's explicit intent, in this RFI / Market Survey, is to not receive from respondents any proprietary data, trade secrets, business sensitive information, or information considered CONFIDENTIAL under 18 U.S.C. §1905. The Government's constraint does not in any way relieve contractor's from their responsibility to properly mark proprietary data when it is provided, in accordance with DFARS 252.227-7013. Nor does it alleviate any requirement for the Government to protect marked data. The Government is not obligated to protect unmarked data. Respondents shall ensure that any material/data that is provided is marked appropriately to ensure proper handling of all information. Unless otherwise noted herein, anything submitted in response to this RFI / Market Survey will not be returned to the sender. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the survey or results of information submitted, nor will it respond to telephone or email inquiries. NOTE: The Government is not asking you to develop or provide drawings or develop any technical data in response to this RFI. Introduction: The U.S. Army TARDEC, Ground Vehicle Power and Mobility (GVPM), Advanced Propulsion Team is conducting a RFI / Market Survey to identify sources capable of performing research, development, integration and testing support for the family of combat and tactical vehicles developed by the firm, General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS). Objective: The purpose of this RFI / Market Survey questionnaire is to identify sources currently capable of performing research, development, integration and testing support of component technologies onto the GDLS FoV system platforms; and identify system level impacts of developed component technologies, across all fleets and variants of the GDLS FoV. Responding entities should identify access to all current GDLS FoV Technical data required to perform this effort. Response: Electronic responses to this RFI must be received NO LATER THAN 11PM, local time Warren, MI, on 14 October 2016. Please format the subject line of the response email as follows: "[Organization Name] response to RFI / Market Survey - RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT, INTEGRATION, AND TEST SUPPORT FOR GENERAL DYNAMICS LAND SYSTEMS (GDLS) FAMILY of VEHICLES (FOV). Response Format: Electronic responses are required, either via e-mail or digital media submission. Submittal shall be in Microsoft Office or Adobe Acrobat. The size limit for individual e-mails is 5 MB per e-mail. You may use multiple e-mail messages. The subject line must include the message number (example: 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3) and "[Company Name] response to "RFI - RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT, INTEGRATION, AND TEST SUPPORT FOR GENERAL DYNAMICS LAND SYSTEMS (GDLS) FAMILY of VEHICLES (FOV)." Responses may include, as backup/support, company marketing materials, reports, and/or other materials that were prepared for purposes other than this RFI. Please use following format: 1. Number each response with the appropriate question number and ensure that questions are answered in the same order as listed in this RFI. 2. You do not have to repeat the question in your response. 3. If you cannot answer a question, please indicate "No Response." 4. Include relevant company literature if appropriate. If providing an Adobe Acrobat formatted literature submittal, indicate which question the material is applicable to. If preferred, include Internet web links to locations where literature may be viewed. 5. If your literature submittal contains a restricted distribution statement, please issue a release statement indicating that the restricted material may be distributed to Army personnel involved with this RFI. 6.
