Description

In accordance with FAR 5.301, this posting serves as notice of contract award and provides the published Justification for Other than Full Competition. A contract is being established with Accessibility Services, Inc. (ASI), located at 6241 S Tex Pt, Homosassa, FL 3448-5923. This contract will provide Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VA Center for Innovations with professional services and materials to configure, install, and test ASI AutonoME Environmental Control Units (ECUs) for control of hospital room functions (e.g. television, bed settings, lights, phone, nurse call) through alternative technologies (e.g. voice, blinking, "sip and puff") specifically by Veteran spinal cord injury patients and patients with other disabilities. The period of performance shall consist of a 6-month base period from date of award, with one subsequent 6-month option period, and four optional tasks. The total value of this effort is $5,883,875.36, including all options.
