- 95% APPROVED DRAWINGS 95% APPROVED SPECIFICATIONS THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT AND PRE-PREBID WALK-THROUGH ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, bids, or quotations. At this time, there are NO COMPLETED PROJECT PLANS OR SPECIFICATIONS AVAILABLE. THERE WILL BE A 95% APPROVED SUBMITTAL AVAILABLE WITH THIS NOTIFICATION. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. Responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The Sawtooth National Forest of the U.S. Forest Service is doing market research to understand the numbers and types of general construction contractors who have the capability and are interested in performing the following construction project. The Porcupine Springs Water System Improvements Project 2017 is located on the Twin Falls Ranger District of the Sawtooth National Forest, Cassia County, Idaho. approximately 26 miles south and 9 miles east of Twin Falls, approximately 35 miles by road from Twin Falls (over the divide above the Magic Mountain ski resort) at an elevation of approximately 7020 feet. It is located in the SW1/4 of Section 30, T14S, R19E (Latitude 42°10'19"N, Longitude 114°16'39"W). 1. This project proposes to modify an existing well and installing a new solar-powered submersible pump. 2. Installing a new utility building with plumbing appurtenances and solar-powered electrical system. 3. Installing new buried waterline. 4. Installing a new water hydrant. 5. Installing a remote telemetry system for communication between the pump controls and the tank level floats. 6. Disconnecting the existing spring source from the water system (at the existing tank). 7. All Work to decommission the existing spring source and pump system will be completed by others (not in contract). PRE-PREBID WALK-THROUGH: Friday, October 14, 2016 1000 a.m. Meet at Diamond Field Jack Parking Lot Interested vendors who are registered in the System for Awards Management (SAM), and possess conventional bonding ability for construction jobs in the $100,000 to $250,000 range (per FAR 36.204) should provide your company information to USDA Forest Service, Attn: Karen Morthland, Contracting Officer, via email to kmorthland@fs.fed.us. All information must be received by the Forest Service no later than November 1, 2016 at 1200 MDT. Technical inquiries may be directed to DuWayne Kimball at dkimball@fs.fed.us. Interested vendors should attach informational material about the company including brochures, etc. All information shall be submitted in Word or PDF format, not to exceed 10 pages, including all attachments. Please include in your submission answers to the following: A) Under NAICS Code 221310 - Water Systems, are you a large or small business against the SBA size standard of $27.5 Million, B) If another NAICS code may be applicable, please identify the NAICS in your Capability Statement. C) Is your company certified in a particular socio-economic set-aside category, such as Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, Woman Owned Business, HUB Zone Owned Business, or 8(a) Business, D) Provide a brief overview of your company experience performing water system work in the $100,000 to $250,000 range. (Please highlight any of this work done for the U.S. Forest Service or other land management agencies). E) Provide the disciplines of labor and expertise your company carries "in-house", and the disciplines and trades you normally sub-contract. F) What is your expected capacity to perform this project the summer of 2017?
