- THIS NOTICE IS ISSUED AS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY This notice DOES NOT constitute a Request for Proposal, nor does it represent any commitment by the Government. It is a market survey for information only. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. No telephone calls will be accepted requesting a bid package or solicitation. This notice is issued to determine interest and capability of potential sources for a potential procurement, and is for preliminary planning/market research purposes only. The department of Labor (DOL) is seeking a response from only firms that qualify as a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Certified 8(a), SBA Certified HUBZone, Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB), and/or Small Business that possess the relevant experience, personnel, and capability to perform the work. Place of Performance New Site for Atlanta Job Corps Center Relocation Northeast parcel at intersection of Washington Road and Roosevelt Highway Fulton County, GA Project Description/Synopsis This project is to provide construction services for a new Job Corps campus to replace the existing Job Corps Center located in Atlanta, GA. The new campus is comprised of approximately 25 acres at the aforementioned location, and the work consists of the following: Clearing, regarding, and preparation of the existing site, which is currently wooded. Placement of all utilities required to serve the buildings, in addition to coordination with various utilities to tie into existing services, and with Georgia Power for coordination of placement of the primary electrical system and site lighting. Construction of the surface site work will include installation of all fencing, gates, roads, walks, landscaping, and grassed areas, in addition to construction of storm water management ponds and bio retention areas. Construction of the buildings will include 11 buildings in total, with floor area of approximately 226,000 Gross Square Feet. The buildings consist of the following: Welcome Center, Administration, Student Services, Education, Child Development Center, Cafeteria, Recreation, Dormitories (2), Maintenance and Storage, and a Central Plant building. Period of Performance NTP to Substantial Completion: 540 calendar days NTP to Contract Completion: 630 calendar days Estimate Construction Value : $50 Million to $60 Million Other Information: Please send your capabilities Statement via (email only) to stephens.david@dol.gov and include the solicitation number in the subject line.
