- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) OR A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS (RFQ); NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED PURSUANT TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This is NOT a Request for Proposal, Invitation for Bid, or an announcement of a solicitation. Response to this SOURCES SOUGHT is strictly voluntary and will not affect any firm's ability to submit an offer if a solicitation is released. There is no bid package or solicitation document associated with this announcement. The purpose of this document is to identify potential sources. Any requests for a solicitation package will be disregarded. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this source sought or otherwise pay for the information solicited. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of preparing submissions in response to this sources sought and the Government's use of such information. Required Performance Capabilities: Information will be collected from Small or Large Manufactures and authorized distributors at this time to determine if the requirement can be met using a small business set-aside. All respondents are required to certify if they currently meet the small business requirements under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code {811219}. STATEMENT OF WORK *****SEE STTACHED FOR DETAILED STATEMENT OF WORK***** Period of Performance Service agreement: October 24, 2016 thru October 23, 2017. STATEMENTOFWORK September Cell Separators The subject contract shall cover maintenance, support, and emergency servicing for the 6 Ceil separator instruments and 4 Safe Sealers located in the Blood Services Section of the Department of Transfusion of the Clinical Center at The Preventive maintenance (PM) is required to comply with The Cell separators are used in the collections of peripheral blood stem cells and therapeutic exchanges on patients. It has the ability to collect granulocytes for use in either the research setting or for therapeutic transfusions. Mononuclear cells can be collected on donors to support research protocols for patient. Therapeutic exchanges and cellular collections support patient's undergoing protocols which support our mission of providing high-quality patient care, and hospital services in support of Clinical research programs. Included in this contract will be one regular preventive maintenance visit, emergency servicing, spare /replacement parts, and support for each device. Work to be performed Independently, and not as an agent of the government, the contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, supplies, and services to perform the work required by this contract as set forth in the sections. The contractor shall perform the following: Preventive Maintenance (PM) The contractor shall provide scheduled preventive maintenance twice in the 12 month period. The PM will be scheduled by a qualified service representative and 30 days in advance of the scheduled due date. Instrument Calibration and preventative maintenance- each performance assurance inspection will include a complete inspection and calibration of each unit as described in the Preventive Maintenance Section of the current associated equipment Service Manual. Following the performance assurance inspection, the CUSTOMER will be provided with a copy of the completed checklist and a calibration sticker. Emergency Service Emergency service visits and repair services to include labor and all replacement parts (except disposables) for the equipment as required, except for any service or replacement parts which COMPANY determines are required as a result of the CUSTOMER'S failure to use the equipment in accordance with the COMPANY'S Operator's Manual. All maintenance will be performed in accordance with established procedures, as outlined in the current revision of the associated Service Manual. Parts/Supplies The contractor shall supply ail parts and supplies needed for service and maintenance. Labor and Travel The contractor shall provide all labor and travel at no additional cost for the duration of the contract Emergency Visits The contractor shall provide full service coverage and telephone support to correct all equipment malfunctions. The contractor shall respond within 1 hour. The on-site response for emergency should be within 24 hours. Service Calls Request for service has no designated individuals. Any employee assigned to a specific work area, can report a malfunction to one of the devices by calling the 800 number. Security Concerns: Will the vendor install and/or maintain the equipment/software/hardware on site at yes 2. How long will the vendor need to be on site? Depends on the complexity of the problem 4-6 hrs 3. Will the vendor have remote access to any system on site at NIH (e.g. patch management/trouble shooting, If so, what remote access technology will the vendor use? The field engineers have personal PCs and provide with a worksheet of services rendered or the information is sent vis email at a later date from the vendor, 4. Will the vendor have access (even inadvertently) to data on any NIH systems? no 5. Will the vendor develop a system or hold data off site (at vendor facility)? No
