Description

The West Texas VA Health Care System (WTVAHCS), located at 300 Veterans Blvd., Big Spring, TX 79720, intends to enter into a firm-fixed-price award for the lease of an Automated Pharmaceutical Dispensing Unit System, similar to the Pyxis system of secure dispensing equipment already in use. The anticipated period of the lease will be sixty (60) months, dependent upon the availability of funds. The acquisition will take place under the authority of FAR part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items, and either FAR Part 8 - Required Sources of Supplies and Services, or Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 339112 - Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing. Any firms who wish to identify their interests and capability to provide this equipment must notify the Contract Specialist no later than 04:00 PM CST, 10/17/2016. Such notification must include any documentation that includes certifications and description of equipment that meets or exceeds the capabilities needed. Notification shall be e-mailed or faxed to Jessica Roman, Contract Specialist, jessica.roman@va.gov, fax: 432-517-4586. Upon receipt of any such notifications, the Contracting Officer will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses received will be evaluated, however; a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes.
