Description
Questions and Answers: 1. Why does the required instrument need a dual anode target? To maximize sensitivity for specific elements and concentrations and in which specific sample matrices? Utilizing various secondary targets will provide similar performance. Answer: SSC will provide sensitivity specifications and not a method of achieving in the solicitation. 2. The MDL for Fe in oil states it must be 0.50 ppm. Is that for light oil (mineral oil) matrix or other? What kinds of oils will the system be needed to analyze? Answer: SSC requires measuring the Iron levels in both Hydraulic Oil and Turbofan Engine Oil at levels of 1.00 PPM and below. 3. Why is a bandpass filter being required for analysis of elements K to Mn? To maximize sensitivity at what concentration levels and which specific sample matrices are you needing to analyze in normal every day application work? Once again, secondary targets will allow you to maximize sensitivity in various elemental ranges. Answer: SSC will provide sensitivity specifications and not a method of achieving in the solicitation.
