Description

This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential vendors, including Small Business, Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Own Small Business (SDVOSB) vendors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 334510. The Edward Hines Jr VA Medical Center has a need for a gait analysis system called the "Qualisys". The system is composed of multiple parts; two CPUs (computing devices), multiple cameras, multiple pressure and force plates, calibraters, cables, and mounting devices (tripods). Physicians will use this technology to get a distinctive picture of a patient's specific gait/ambulatory impairment which helps the physician determine the best treatment plan or therapy regimen for that individual. This equipment is particularly useful for treating stroke, amputation, and other gait disorders. The Qualisys (formerly Codamotion) is a "stand-alone" gait analysis system consisting of several monitors/markers, pressurized scales, and cameras that will take pictures and detect exertion/force initiated by the patient; generating an individualized report that will assist physicians with determining which treatment plan or therapies would be most conducive to that patient's recovery. The system is mobile; and can be moved from one therapy gym to another.
