Description
SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is operated by Stanford University for the Department of Energy. As a management and operating contractor, subcontracts awarded by the Laboratory are not Federal procurements, and are not directly subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulations in 48 CFR. Nonetheless, certain Federal laws, Executive Orders, and regulations may affect our DOE approved purchasing system, as required by statute, regulation, or contract terms and conditions. SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory in Menlo Park, CA is seeking information from industry on their level of interest and cost effective technical approaches to the installation of prefabricated multi-lines for the Linac Coherent Light Source II (LCLS II) project. The muli-lines will be delivered in prefabricated section of around 10m manufactured according to European Code EN13480. Each section will be composed of : • A Line A : MAWP : 20 bar abs - Working Temperature : 2K - Diameter : 2" • A Line B : MAWP : 4.1 bar abs - Working Temperature : 2K - Diameter : 10" • A Line C : MAWP : 20 bar abs - Working Temperature : 5K - Diameter : 2" • A Line D : MAWP : 20 bar abs - Working Temperature : 8K - Diameter : 2" • A Line E : MAWP : 20 bar abs - Working Temperature : 35K - Diameter : 2" • A Line F : MAWP : 20 bar abs - Working Temperature : 55K - Diameter : 2" • A Copper Shield : 21" • A Outter Jacket : 24" Material : 1.4301 / 1.4307 We distinguish 4 main lines to be installed LH : Horizontal Transfer Lines installed at ceiling level (3m) of a total of 73m BC1: Horizontal Transfer Lines installed at ceiling level (3m) of a total of 63m VTL1: Vertical Transfer Line delivered in a single piece of around 10m VTL2: Vertical Transfer Line delivered in a single piece of around 10m All the interconnection spools that allow to connect 2 sections will be provided by SLAC, which includes necessary Multi Layers Insulation Material (to be installed by contractor). As we interconnect European spools manufactured according to EN13480, the subcontractor will have to perform the installation according to the same code and inspect it (Nondestructive Test) accordingly. Requested controls will be : - 100% visual external - As much as physical possible of internal visual inspection (considering the use of a borescope to be provided by contractor) - 10% Radiographic control minimum - Pressure Test - Helium Leak Test
