Description
THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE. THIS IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) is one of the eight surface warfare centers and our mission is to provide test and evaluation, systems engineering, integrated logistics support, in-service engineering, business services, and integration of surface ship weapons, combat systems, and warfare systems. NSWC PHD provides the leading interface to the surface force for in-service maintenance and engineering support provided by the Warfare Centers. NSWC PHD dedicates itself to ensuring combat readiness for the surface Navy and supports virtually every warfare system in the Fleet. We provide in-service engineering, test and evaluation, and integrated logistics support for all combat and weapon systems of the U.S. Navy’s surface fleet. NSWC PHD will be hosting an Industry-Government Forum on 16 November 2016, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM PT at NSWC PHD Building 1388 AV Center. The purpose of the Industry-Government Forum is to provide for effective avenues of communication, cooperation, and consultation between NAVSEA Port Hueneme, private industry, and academia in order to improve the productivity of NSWC PHD and the quality of the end product for the mutual benefit of all participants. This forum will explore and develop methods of quality/productivity improvement; foster a spirit of cooperation; and provide a setting to share new ideas and initiatives. The intent is to hold a forum on a recurring basis. It is open to anyone desiring to attend. In order to attend you must pre-register, with the POC below, prior to 31 October 2016. If you have questions you would like addressed during this forum please submit them before COB (4:00 P. M. PT), 2 November 2016. All information provided will be subject to open discussion during the forum.
