Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Network Contracting Activity (NCO) 10 VA250-17-Q-0025 SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Blood Bank Supplies The Department of Veterans Affairs, Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Center, 420 North James Road, Columbus, OH 43219 intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with Ortho Clinic Diagnostics Inc., 1001 US Highway 202, Raritan, NJ 08869-0606 for Blood Bank Supplies. The Contractor shall provide Blood Bank testing supplies that will be tested on the Provue analyzer. 0.8%Selectogen 2X10 ML 2 vials per month 0.8% Affirmagen 2X10 ML 2 vials per month Alba Q-Check Simulated Whole Blood Controls 5 boxes per month Coombs Control Cells 1X10 ML 2 vials per month Selectogen 3% screen cells 2X10 ML 1 set per month Complement Control Dropper Bottle, 1X3 ML 2 vials per month The Government believes that only one business can satisfy the agency requirements and intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 5PM EST. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
