- Description
- Justification and Approval for an exception to fair opportunity IAW FAR 16.505(b)(2)(ii)(B), Orders Exceeding the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. The basis for the exception is to place an order to satisfy the minimum guarantee. This project is in direct support of the 21th Space Wing (SW) at Peterson AFB in achieving environmental compliance with 40 Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) 280 and 281 (Underground Storage Tank Regulations) and State of Colorado in 7 Code of Colorado Regulations (CCR) 1101-14. All ASTs installed must meet the Steel Tank Institute Standard (STI) for Aboveground Storage Tanks (ASTs), STI SP001. All work performed under this task order shall be in accordance with the contract based on the requirements of the original solicitation. The Contractor shall provide 100% design site plans for review and approval, in compliance with, but not limited to; UFC 3-460-01 DESIGN, PETROLEUM FUEL FACILTIES, UFC 3-460-03 Operation and Maintenance: Maintenance of Petroleum Fuel Systems, NFPA 30 FLAMMABLE AND COMBUSTIBLE LIQUIDS CODE, appropriate Unified Facilities Guide Specifications, and NFPA 30A CODE FOR MOTOR FUEL DISPENSING FACILTIES AND REPAIR GARAGES. Required spill containment volumes for each containment area shall be determined in accordance with UFC 3-460-01 DESIGN, PETROLEUM FUEL FACILTIES, NFPA 30 FLAMMABLE AND COMBUSTIBLE LIQUIDS CODE, NFPA 30A CODE FOR MOTOR FUEL DISPENSING FACILTIES AND REPAIR GARAGES, and 40 CFR 112 OIL PULLTION PREVENTION. Spill containment calculations shall be provided with the Contractor's final design documents.
