Parts List THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. This announcement closes 1:00 p.m. E.S.T on Monday, 31 October 2016. The Government is seeking industry input from all sources (small and large business) at this time. Small Business concerns are encouraged to respond to this request in order for the Government to determine if this acquisition should be considered for a set aside under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 19 or if any alternative solutions can be provided or proposed to meet mission sustainment requirements for the AN/FPS-117 radar system. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 334511 ( Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing ) with a size standard of 1,250 employees. Interested parties must be registered under NAICS 334511 in SAM (System for Award Management) at www.sam.gov, formerly known as CCR (Central Contractor Registration). The Government plans to consider all information submitted in response to this Sources Sought notice. Air Combat Command, Acquisition Management Integration Center (ACC AMIC), Langley AFB VA, is in the process of determining the acquisition strategy to obtain hardware kits consisting of Line Replacement Units (LRUs), IAW the attached parts list, to sustain 28 AN/FPS-117 radars in support of the AN/FPS-117 Essential Parts Replacement Program within 12 months after receipt of order. Industry input is being requested to determine if there are adequate small business concerns that are capable of performing the requirement. A determination regarding the set aside status for this effort has not been made. The Government anticipates the Request For Proposal (RFP) to be released on or about 18 Nov 16 and anticipates making award on or about 16 Dec 16. Please note: This is an estimated posting timeframe and it is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor the Federal Business Opportunity website at www.fbo.gov for all subsequent postings. Upon posting of the RFP, the Government will require the contractor propose on furnishing all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and all other items required to produce and deliver specified kits consisting of LRU's listed on the attachment to their respective destinations (Alaska, Canada, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Utah). The contractor will be required to detail any deviations in which the company intends to provide. This is not a formal RFP, and no contract will result from this notice, nor does it commit the Government to any acquisition of supplies or service. All interested parties should submit a capabilities package (please limit to no more than 5 pages total) outlining 1) their key business abilities relevant to the performance of this requirement 2) any alternative solutions to meet USG mission needs and capabilities of AN/FPS-117 radar systems 3) very detailed explanation of any deviations your company may provide. Please submit the requested information to this office by NLT the closing date and time (Monday, 31 October 2016, 1:00 p.m. E.S.T.) to Ms. Lisa Pena lisa.pena.2@us.af.mil. Note for Small Business Concerns: Offerors responding to this notice as a small business concern must be registered in SAM under NAICS 334511.
