- Sources Sought NSN 5985-00-149-1451 Industry Request for Information AN/ARN-6 ANTENNA PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the production data, expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements for the production of the AN/ARN-6 Antenna National Stock Number (NSN): 5985-00-149-1451, part number (P/N): N212254-1, -2 and/or MN95A). Potential sources must possess the ability to provide fully functional antenna(s) meeting the requirements according to the corresponding Master Requirement Codes (MRC) listed in the table below: ABTJ MOUNTING HOLE QUANTITY 10 ACZB FREQUENCY RATING 100.000 KILOHERTZ MINIMUM SINGLE ANTENNA ELEMENT AND 1750.000 KILOHERTZ MAXIMUM SINGLE ANTENNA ELEMENT AJCU RADIATION PATTERN OMNIDIRECTIONAL SINGLE ANTENNA ELEMENT AJDH BEAM SCANNING METHOD ROTATING SINGLE ANTENNA ELEMENT AKRE VOLTAGE RATING IN VOLTS 68.0 AC SINGLE ANTENNA ELEMENT APGF DESIGN TYPE LOOP SINGLE ANTENNA ELEMENT AXGY MOUNTING METHOD BASE AND FLANGE ZZZV FSC APPLICATION DATA RADIO SET,RADIO NAVIGATION,AIRBORNE The proposed acquisition strategy is a three (3)-year buy contract (basic plus two ordering periods) beginning in FY17 and will continue through FY19. The projected quantities are for five (5) purchases in FY17, one (1) in FY18 and (1 - 4) in FY19 totaling ten (10) purchases over the life of the contract. The AN/ARN-6 Antenna functions within the Airborne Radio Navigation system providing aural reception of modulated radio frequency (RF) energy. The antenna is an item consisting of a conductor or a system of conductors specifically designed to radiate and/or receive electromagnetic waves in free space. This may include beam-forming devices, drive motors, synchro's, radome, and associated mechanical structure. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334511.The Acquisition Method Suffix Code (AMC/AMSC) is 3/H: Items screened and found to be procured from the actual manufacturer or vendor, including a prime contractor who is the actual manufacturer. The government has inadequate data. The Government does not own or have access to the data for these items. The Government has determined that this system is a commercial item. Commercial item descriptions, commercial vendor catalog or price lists or commercial manuals assigned a technical manual number apply. There are no samples available for potential suppliers to evaluate. If necessary, potential contractors shall furnish all material, support equipment, tools, test equipment, and services needed to fill this order. The contractor is responsible for providing, maintaining, and calibrating all support equipment required at their facility or a subcontractor's facility. Contractor furnished material or parts used for replacement shall equal or exceed the quality of the original material or parts and meet counterfeit prevention plan guidelines as outlined in Data Item Description (DID) DI-MISC-81832. Contractors/Institutions responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey.
