This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Malcom Randall VA Medical Center needs to procure hysteroscopy equipment for surgery, brand name, this is a SDVOSB Set-Aside. (ii) The combined synopsis solicitation number is VA248-17-Q-0024. It's issued as a Request for Quotation. (iii) This combined synopsis solicitation RFQ and the provisions and clauses incorporated are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-91 (09-30-2016). "Must have a reusable hand piece. "System must include both oscillating and reciprocating tissue removal devices. "Must do Simultaneous tissue cutting and aspiration to reduce procedure time and capture all tissue. "Must have Adjustable speed control (800-2500 rpm) with a monitor for total resection time. "Mechanical design which means no risk of energy discharge-induced scarring. Operative hysteroscope that has all of the following: "Must have a 5.7mm continuous outflow sheath with 205 mm working length to maintain a clear operative field. "Must be an oblique anatomically-designed distal end for gentle introduction into cervical canal and uterine cavity, requiring little or no dilation. "Must accommodate 7 French hysteroscopic instruments. "Must have a reusable calibration insert used to ensure intrauterine pressure and flow is maintained when tissue removal device is in use. Operative hysteroscope that has all of the following: "Must have a 9.0 mm continuous outflow sheath with 169 mm working length to maintain a clear operative field. "Must have a rigid hysteroscope with straight-through D-shaped working channel that will accommodate 4mm instruments. "Must have Rod-lens optics (3.5 mm) designed to provide optimal visualization. "Must have an obturator for gentle introduction of the sheath into the uterine cavity. "Must have a reusable calibration insert used to ensure intrauterine pressure and flow is maintained when tissue removal device is in use. Fluid Management System: "Must offer a weight based system for inflow and outflow. "Must have a maximum (fluid) flow rate of 700 ml/min, adjustable from 30-700 ml/min. "Must allow for intrauterine pressure adjustment from 15-120 mm/Hg. "Must have audible safety alarms indicating: Over pressure, under pressure and Intravasation.
