- Sources Sought Product description : The Online Computer Library Center, Inc. (OCLC) is "a nonprofit, membership, computer library service and research organization dedicated to the public purposes of furthering access to the world's information and reducing information costs." OCLC provides access to bibliographic, abstract, and full-text information. OCLC and its member libraries cooperatively produce and maintain WorldCat, the largest online public access catalog (OPAC) in the world. WorldCat has holding records from public and private libraries worldwide. The AFRL Library subscribes to the OCLC Connexion and WorldShare products for cataloging and interlibrary loan. Product characteristics an equal item must meet to be considered : - Provides connectivity with other off-site AFRL libraries that make use of OCLC, as well as nearly every government, academic, and specialized library in the United States (and internationally) - Availability of training sessions to familiarize library staff with the product, both in-person and via web-based training.
