- THIS IS A SOURCE SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a Request for Proposal. This notice does not represent a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. This is strictly market research to determine the availability and adequacy of potential sources with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for information received as a result of this announcement. Request for solicitation will not receive a response. The General Services Administration (GSA), Great Lakes Region (Region 5), has a verified need to repair windows at the Melvin Price Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse, 750 Missouri Avenue, East St. Louis, Illinois. This is an historic building. The contractor would be responsible for providing the labor, supervision, equipment, and material necessary to perform the following but not limited to work: repair and restore conditions of the windows, complete with wood epoxy repairs, all new paint and sealants exterior, and all new varnish interior. The construction cost is between $250,000 and $500,000. The performance period is 150 calendar days. The anticipated award date is before February 1 st. The NAICS code is 236220 with a small business size standard of $36.5 million. No other information is available at this time. If you are an interested party, please provide the following information. All information submitted is subject to verification. Additional information may be requested to substantiate responses. A short statement regarding your business' expertise and experience on projects similar in scope and size. Are you a small or large business? If small business, indicate any and all applicable small business representation(s) (8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned, etc). Do you have the bonding capability to cover 100% of construction cost? Include three projects completed within the last five years similar in size and scope to the work described above. Provide a customer point of contact for each project listed (telephone and email address). Do you have experience working in a historic building for similar size and scope described above? If yes, please explain and provide a customer point of contact (telephone and email address). Indicate your intent to bid on a subsequent solicitation. Interested firms should submit the above information to the Contracting Officer at the email address provided in the point of contact section of this announcement. An electronic submission is preferred. Your submission should be no longer than 10 pages. Responses are due by 3:00pm CST on October 27, 2016.
