- Amendment to change Period of Performance Request for Excavator Rental The US Army Corps of Engineers, Maintenance and Repair unit is requesting quotes for a four (4) week rental on an extended reach Excavator. The rental period shall be a four (4) week period starting 31 Oct 2016 and ending 25 November 2016, with the possibility of two (2) additional one (1) week options if needed. The excavator can be expected to be operated over 8 hours per day. Contractor shall be expected to deliver routine maintenance required supplies such as oils, filters, grease and repair machine malfunctions, providing a 24 hour service support and shall respond within four hours of a reported problem. Contractor shall instruct government force on daily checks and maintenance. Scope of Work 1. The purpose of this contract is to provide rental of a long reach excavator with a 60' reach, and a minimum 60" ditch bucket without teeth. The excavator shall be expected to be operated over 8 hours per day, and contractor will be expected to deliver routine maintenance requirements, oils, filters, grease, and repair excavator malfunction providing a 24 hour service support and shall respond within four hours of a reported problem. Contractor shall instruct government force on daily checks and maintenance. The machine shall be delivered in a fully operational condition (NO LEAKS), and with the operator's manuals. 2. The contractor shall quote a four (4) week rental for the excavator and shall include the cost for transportation/delivery to and from the job site, and on‐and off‐loading. The rental period shall be four (4) weeks from 31 October 2016 to 25 November 2016 base period, with two (2) optional one (1) week periods, if deemed necessary by the Government. Delivery date of the excavator shall be no later than 31 October 2016 and pick up 25 November 2016. If the option periods are exercised, pick‐up shall be at the end of the option period. Hours of delivery and pick‐up shall be between 0700‐1530: Monday‐Friday. No deliveries or pick‐ ups on weekends and holidays. Delivery Location: Lac Qui Parle field site, in the northwest corner, of the intersection of County Road 13 and 32 near the town of Watson, Minnesota (45°01'19.97"N, 95°52'04.95"W).
