Description

VA69D-17-N-0079 This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential Large and Small Businesses, including Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Own Small Business (SDVOSB) prospective contractors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 337215 (Showcase, Partition, Shelving, and Locker Manufacturing). The Hanel Storage Systems Rotomat Model 936/161/342/349 vertical carousel is known to meet the Government s needs. The Government is requesting that responsible sources respond if it can provide the following items on a brand name or EQUAL basis: Line Item No. Description Qty Unit 0001 Hanel Rotomat Model 936/161/342/349 2 EA 0002 ID Wireless Barcode Scanner 2 EA 0003 Service Manuals 2 EA 0004 Installation (Weekend) 2 EA STATEMENT OF WORK Contractor shall transport items to installation site. Contractor shall utilize its own trucking service. Contractor shall remove all debris to appropriate VA dumpsters located at loading dock. Contractor shall follow all VA infection control precautions as installation will be occurring within the sterile core to include the setup of plastic barrier walls around the installation area. Contractor shall provide stainless steel flashing to increase the vertical height of the unit to match ceiling height; there can be no gap between the ceiling and the provided equipment. The Contractor shall be responsible for fastening the stainless steel flashing from its equipment to the ceiling in the installation room. VA will be responsible for electrical utilities and relocation of fire protection sprinklers, if necessary. Site walkthrough with Contractor shall occur at least one month prior to installation to coordinate VA electricians and other utility work necessary to be complete before installation. Contractor shall provide all mechanical installation of equipment. Contractor shall provide connection and installation of all internal electronic components. Contractor shall provide testing and adjustment of all systems and components. Contractor shall provide training of customer employees on the operation of the storage units and all systems controls. Training shall be for two 8-hour periods and cover as many VA employees as necessary. Contractor is responsible for ensuring all equipment will be able to make the delivery path from VA loading dock to installation site. Contractor is responsible for equipment disassembly or building modifications necessary to get equipment to the location. Contractor is responsible for restoration of building modifications necessary to get equipment into room installation site. Assure that adjoining work is not damaged by installation of this work by providing protection as required and repair all damage to such work. Installation shall occur on the weekend and be completed between 8 p.m. CST Friday and 6 a.m. CST the following Monday. Contractor shall provide drawings and material specifications with the offer. Mechanical and electrical requirements shall be clearly outlined. Contractor to provide a detailed installation schedule. Qualified installation team and project foreman must have at least 3 prior installations accomplished of the same type product and installations. Coordinate work with other operations in order to avoid conflict. Interested Large and Small Businesses, including VOSBs and SDVOSBs, are required to submit an e-mail delineating: Qualifications, capabilities, and experience for providing this product; Business size/Socioeconomic status; and If the product is on the Federal Supply Schedule or the Open Market This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submissions will not be returned to the sender. VOSBs and SDVOSBs must be registered and verified in VIP for consideration. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 337215 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The information requested must be received no later than 09:00 a.m. Central Standard Time on Friday, October 28th, 2016.
