Description

The VA Greater Long Beach Healthcare Care System, 5901 E 7th Street Long Beach, CA 90822 has a requirement to remove and replace a boiler in the Medical Center s boiler plant. A Firm-Fixed Price award is anticipated. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, material, tools, supervision, equipment, permits, testing and reports in accordance with all federal, state and local codes and regulations to execute all applicable services necessary to repair the system per the drawings and specifications. The magnitude of this VA construction project is estimated to be between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. The Period of Performance for this project will be 240 calendar days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. This solicitation will be issued pursuant to the Veterans First Public Law 109-461 as a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. The NAICS code for this project is 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, and the small business size standard is $36.5 Million. Interested bidders must be listed in the VetBiz.gov Vendor Information Pages at www.vetbiz.gov, and currently registered in the System for Award Management, www.sam.gov. Solicitation documents, including technical specifications and project drawings, will be available electronically on or about November 4, 2016, at www.fedbizopps.gov. Interested bidders should search for solicitation VA262-17-B-0042 to access solicitation documents and any amendments. A Ninety day bid acceptance period will be required. Bid Bond will be required. Only Hardcopy of bids will be accepted. A Pre-Bid Conference and Site Visit will be held, date/time/location to be provided with the solicitation.
