Description
Solicitation Attachments - Area Maps Solicitation W912ES-17-T-0007 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District requires a contractor to mechnically pulverize/chop/mulch above ground assorted species of trees and brush from the side slopes of two Zah Gheeng (ZG) Marsh dikes, located downstream of Red Lake Dam, in Clearwater County, Minnesota, on the Red Lake Indian Reservation. The maximum allowable height for vegetation is 6 inches, though closer to the ground is preferred. The slopes were last mechanically cleared in 2011. The dike on the south side of the river begins immediately downstream of the dam (Hwy 1 Bridge), and extends approximately 3.5 miles downstream. The dike on the north side of the river extends approximately 3.0 miles downstream. Each dike has a maintenance road on top that will allow access for equipment. The side slopes of the dike are approximately 25 to 30 feet from the top of the dike to the waterline. The slopes are steep, slippery, uneven, and vary in slope angle. The work site is entirely on Red Lake Indian Reservation. It will be the contractor's responsibility to determine if permits are required, and to obtain required permits from the Red Lake Tribal Government. All work must be completed by 15 March 2017.
