Description

This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential vendors, including Small Business, Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Own Small Business (SDVOSB) vendors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 339112. The Edward Hines Jr VA Medical Center has a need for new two brand name only Audioscan Verifit Model VF-2 Real Ear Hearing aid Analyzer. This piece of equipment is used to measure hearing aid output in the patients ears using probe microphones. This item also contains a hearing aid analyzer test box to analyze whether the hearing aid output is meeting the technical specifications required. These probe microphone measurements are a required part of our hearing aid fitting protocol. These new units need to be compatible with our current NOAH software database. Salient Features Audioscan Verifit model VF-2 real ear/hearing aid analyzer. Features include dual probe modules for on-ear measures, test box coupler for performing binaural test box measures, expanded frequency range up to 16 kHz, and a design that allows for efficient testing of total hearing aid performance. Must include a one year warranty and all standard accessories. Audioscan NOAH Module (first license) - allows for communication between Noah and a Verifit or Axiom so that data from either can be stored, viewed, and/or printed from a PC. Requires the PC and the Audioscan unit to each be connected to the computer network. Audioscan NOAH Module (additional licenses) Shipping This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 339112 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. Responses due are to be submitted by e-mail to Michael J Rosenthal at Michael.rosenthal@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 2:00 pm Central Standard Time on Tuesday, November 01, 2016.
