- This is a sources sought announcement ONLY and is NOT a request for proposals or quotes. The Hudson Valley VA Medical Center has a requirement for 24-hour Ambulance service to transport eligible beneficiaries of the medical center for medical services. Ambulance services for Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advance Life Support (ALS) shall be provided 24 hours, 7 days per week, 365 days per year for eligible for the beneficiaries of the VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System. Facility addresses are listed below: Franklin Delano Roosevelt Campus of the VA Hudson Valley Health Care System (Montrose) 2094 Albany Post Road Montrose, NY 10548 Castle Point Campus of the VA Hudson Valley Health Care System 41 Castle Point Road Wappingers Falls, NY 12590 Ambulance services required by Veteran beneficiaries include the provision of non-emergent ambulance transport services in Montrose and Castle Point, NY and surrounding areas 365-days per year, 24-hours per day, 7-days per week. BLS transport shall include on-board EMT and basic airway management services as appropriate. ALS transport shall include an on-board paramedic or RN as appropriate, cardiac monitoring (ECG), pressure monitoring, suction, ventilator, use of resuscitation equipment including defibrillator, provision of ACLS drugs and procedures, advanced airway management and medication monitoring and administration, to include multiple drips such as IV heparin and nitroglycerin. Contractor shall provide all necessary equipment for transport of ALS and BLS patients. Ambulances shall meet all current applicable Federal, State and local specifications and regulations including, but not limited to, licensing, registration, and safety standards. Appropriate licensing by the State of New York is required. Contractors MUST be authorized (possess licensure) to provided services in Montrose and Castle Point, NY. All Contractor personnel performing contract services shall meet all qualifications and licensures required by Federal, State, County and Local Government entities from the place in which they operate. Nurses assigned by the Contractor to perform services shall be Licensed Registered Nurses in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. EMTs and Paramedics shall have completed training in accordance with the standards published by the Department of Health and Human Services with a minimum curriculum of 150 hours or equivalent including an in-hospital training period. Drivers shall have a valid operator's or chauffeur's license in accordance with Federal, State and Local Government requirements for their place of operation for the services they perform, shall be capable of administering oxygen and shall have successfully completed Standard and Advanced First Aid Courses. Estimated service requirements are as follows: VA HUDSON VALLEY HEALTH CARE SYSTEM: 495 BLS trips per twelve months and 750 ALS trips per twelve months. Is your firm a small business, or subject to other socioeconomic classification (Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, Woman Owned Small Business, etc.)?
