Description

The purpose of this Announcement is to: (1)Inform industry of the Federal Aviation Administration ™s (FAA) plan to conduct communications with industry regarding the FAA ™s potential FTI-2 competitive source selection. (2)Advise interested parties that a series of interchange meetings between the FAA and American Council for Technology “ Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) has occurred, which were part of the FAA ™s market research into current and future industry business and technical models as they relate to the FAA ™s requirements for FTI-2. As a result of these meetings, a series of white papers are being developed by ACT-IAC to help further the FAA ™s understanding of the marketplace. The FAA has provided the below hyperlink to the white papers so that interested parties who are not members of ACT-IAC are made aware of their existence and availability. These documents are not a reflection of any planned strategy or approach to FTI-2 by the FAA nor do they reflect the FAA ™s position on the issues discussed.
