Description
Market Survey and Commercial Checklist This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a Sources Sought Notice and the purpose of this announcement is to seek qualified vendors capable of supplying the items listed below. All interested vendors should review the NSN and code and part number information listed below and provide any sources that may be able to manufacture this item. The approved source of supply is EAGLEPICHER TECHNOLOGIES, LLC 81855, Part Number MAR-9327 and the NSN is 6140-01-416-3984. The AMC is 3 which means to acquire for the second or subsequent time directly from the actual manufacturer. The AMSC is B which indicates This part must be acquired from a manufacturing source(s) specified on a source control or selected item drawing as defined by the current version of DoD-STD-100. Suitable technical data, Government data rights, or manufacturing knowledge are not available to permit acquisition from other sources, nor qualification testing of another part, nor use of a second source part in the intended application. Although, by DoD-STD-100 definition, altered and selected items shall have an adequate technical data package, data review discloses that required data or data rights are not in Government possession and cannot be economically obtained. The sources interested in this solicitation should complete the attached Market Survey and return a completed copy to Tyler Frank via e-mail at tyler.frank@dla.mil by 8 November 2016, 1:00 PM. All requested information must be provided by the response date indicated above. Should a company wish to be reviewed and qualified as an "Approved Source", they may submit an application package through the DLA Land and Maritime Alternate Offer/Source Approval Request (SAR) Program. A SAR package contains all technical data needed to demonstrate that the prospective contractor can competently manufacture the product to the same level of quality or better than the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The onus is on the contractor to document and demonstrate their product is equal to, or better, than the currently approved item which DLA Land and Maritime is procuring. Sources interested in becoming an approved source must submit the appropriate information as outlined in Procurement Note C04 (formerly DLAD 52.317.9002), Condition for Evaluation and Acceptance of Offers for part Numbers Items. Additional information on SAR process can also be found at the link listed below. http://www.dscc.dla.mil/news/events/tko/documents/TKOPresentations/AlternateOfferRequest.pdf
