Description
Sources Sought VA797S-17-N-0005 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Acquisition and Logistics in Hines, IL is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement for document shredding services. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 561990 All Other Support Services. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposal; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. The VA is seeking companies that meet the following criteria: Capability of performing off-site shredding services in the Chicagoland area. The requirement is for an estimated weight of 36,000 pounds of palletized documents. -AND- Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that is currently registered on VIP.gov -OR- Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) that is currently registered on VIP.gov Note: If a responding company intends to use a subcontractor to complete the work, the requirements of VAAR 852.219-10(c)(1) apply. The prime contractor would be required to perform no less than 50% of the work, the subcontractor is required to also be an SDVOSB. If your organization has the potential capacity to perform these contract services, please provide the following information: Organization name, address, email address, Web site address, telephone number, and size and type of ownership for the organization. Submission Instructions: Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to perform the above-listed services are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by 1700 central time on or before 11/09/2016.
