- Workshop on Modeling Water Ecosystem Service Project The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct Market Research to determine if responsible sources exist. The government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for procurement. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only. Please advise that it is not to be construed as a commitment by the government,implied, or otherwise to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The U.S. Forest Service is seeking qualified sources to provide training in the use of the Invest Modeling Plateform. Workshop Objectives will include learning the basic concepts of the natural capital approach to the valuation of the ecosystem. Obtain hands on experience in applying the Invest Modeling Plateform developed by the Natural Capital Project. Customize the training focus on Invest Models that focus on modeling the ecological and economic dimensions of water quantity and quality. Also develop preliminary models using local data on water sources. Training Material Required: Invest( Integrated Valuation of Ecosystem Services and Tradeoffs) Software and Supporting Materials.
